Business Analyst/ Market Research Analyst
The position requires an individual with B.S. and/or M.S. degree in Chemical Engineering and/or Chemistry (preferred Organic/Polymer) with an interest in business or BBA and MBA graduates with an interest in the petrochemical industry. Fresh graduates or candidates with 2-5 years experience in the chemical industry, planning, marketing or sales are welcome to apply.
- Candidates should possess an ability to understand and appreciate the non technical, business aspects of the chemical industry.
- Candidate must have good leadership, interpersonal/team building, technical problem solving, judgmental and analytical skills.
- Candidate must be a self-starter, capable of working a task from requirements definition to analyzed results.
- The successful candidate will work well with other people, but capable of working alone to meet defined goals.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Managing multiple proprietary studies and multi-client studies. Networking with middle and upper management of international clients.
- Analyze and track key market and technology drivers for various chemicals and polymers.
- Collect and analyze relevant market information from multiple sources for business decisions and opportunities, strategic planning, etc., for clients.
- Willingness to travel; international travel required on some occasions.
Project Manager
The project manager is responsible for the execution of the projects, managing the project team, and delivery of projects to the clients.
Specific responsibilities include managing the day to day activities related to:
- Writing project proposals
- Managing single-client and multi-client projects
- Conducting and managing contract research projects
- Writing reports and present findings to clients
- Supervising and training junior level staff
- Contributing to company and external professional publications
- Giving presentations at company and external conferences
- Supporting the management team in the development of the organization
- Interfacing with the clients
Summer Interns
Chemical Market Resources, Inc. offers summer internships to select students enrolled full time in undergraduate chemical engineering or chemistry programs or graduate business programs.
